WW2 Indian Officer’s Battledress, 1st Punjab Regt
A good used example of an Indian made battledress jacket badged to a famous Indian unit, The 1st Punjab Rgt. Each sleeve has Indian manufacture woven tape shoulder titles, ‘1PUNJAB’ in black above the flash for 10th Indian Infantry Division, Major crowns to each epaulette. Clear maker stamps inside, Shah 3/45, size 16,also some other tailors marks. Collar has been tailored is typical officer style, fairly tidy but with a couple of small moth holes. 10th Indian Division served in North Africa, Persia, and Italy during WW2.
