Oxf & Bucks SD Tunic, MC Winner, Italy

Pre war pattern Officer’s SD tunic with insignia to a Colonel in the Green Jackets Brigade complete with high quality padded parachute qualification badge. Research of the unique medal ribbon combination shows that this belonged to P.G. Thompson, initially commissioned into the Oxf & Bucks LI In 1939 he served with 2/6th Queen’s in Italy, winning the Military Cross in April 1945 during operations on the Argenta Gap. Details of his military service include an attachment to the Ghanaian Army during which time they were part of the UN mission to the Congo
