WW2 Officer’s JG Jacket, Somerset L.I.
A well used jungle green four pocket jacket to an officer in the Somerset Light Infantry, the only regiment to wear their lanyard in this particular way, printed patches for the 8th Indian Division, JG slip on rank for Lieutenant. Although the jacket came with WW2 items and is of WW2 pattern the insignia configuration puts it at the immediate post war period in India, just before independence, The Somerset L.I. being the last British regiment to leave the country.
