MkI* British Helmet with Rough Finish, 1938

A WW1 period Brodie shell with maker mark HV 538 that was refurbished in the late 1930s by the addition of the new type liner, new type chin strap and mounts. Liner is maker marked JCS&W Ltd 1938, size 7. The inside still shows the original satin paint, the outer shell has been over painted with the rough Matt paint. Good used condition overall but with scratches and light rust marks, small damage on chinstrap.
