Rifle Brigade SD Tunic, Commando, Special Service

Pre war style khaki Service Dress tunic to a Major in the Rifle Brigade attached to a commando unit. Blackened crowns and RB shoulder titles with black horn regimental pattern horn buttons, each sleeve has an embroidered formation sign for the Special Service Group, this flash replaced the Combined Ops badge for Commando troops towards the end of WW2. Tailor’s label inside for Wm. Anderson & Sons, Edinburgh & Glasgow, dated Novr 1940, unfortunately the officers name has been blocked out in pen, some letters are readable but not enough to make a positive id. Good overall condition but with some slight marks and light damage, most noticeable on the elbows and bottom of the top pockets.
