KD Service Dress & Breeches, Maj.Gen. R.E. Ekin

Lighter weight khaki SD tunic and trousers with cord breeches belonging to an officer with an impressive career. Mentioned in dispatches twice in WW1 and again in twice WW2, once for organising the evacuation of the Burma Corps across the Chindwin River in March 1942. He also had inter war service on the North West Frontier. He was instrumental in setting up the Indian Army Junior Commanders School. Also in this lot are two red bands, slightly tapered, more like a cuff than an armband.
