53(Welsh) Division Battledress, Royal Artillery

1940 Austerity pattern blouse with clear maker label and WD stamp with ‘Z’ for 1945. Badged to a Corporal in the Royal Artillery, to each sleeve printed shoulder titles, silk woven formation signs and woven rank chevrons, the right sleeve also has a brass artificer badge. Paper type medal ribbons for 39-45 and France & Germany Stars, plus the Defence Medal. The collar has been modified for wear with a shirt and tie, some of the insignia is applied with very neat zig-zag stitching, typically seen on WW2 German uniform so probably modified at the end of the war on occupation duties. Very good used but clean condition but with a few small holes
