Whitley Bag, 1943

Airborne ‘sleeping bag’ as used in transport aircraft and sometimes on the ground. This example is exceptional condition, only minor wear to the base and with very bright colours still to the camouflage. Looks hardly used. There is a maker’s stamp for Waring & Gillow, dated 1943.

40 pattern BD blouse to an officer in the 4th Battalion, Somerset L.I., 43rd (Wessex) Division. To each sleeve, printed shoulder titles, painted type formation signs, red felt arm of service strips, and printed XIII regimental flash. Parachute Knee Pads, 1943

Scarce pads designed for airborne troops, off white elasticated body with padded serge section, lace adjustment to the side with brass eyelets. Both are maker marked and dated 1943. Very good condition but with some marks from storage, still tied together, appear unused.  read more
