Officers pistol holster modified by the addition of straps from an ammunition pouch to make it compatible with 14 pattern equipment. WW1 style naval officer’s cap, good quality bullion badge with silver anchor and RNV above. Feint initials under the leather sweatband, ADHS, attributed to Sub.Lt. A.D.H. Whitley Bag, 1943
Airborne ‘sleeping bag’ as used in transport aircraft and sometimes on the ground. This example is exceptional condition, only minor wear to the base and with very bright colours still to the camouflage. Looks hardly used. There is a maker’s stamp for Waring & Gillow, dated 1943.
